21-DAY IN-HOME PUPPY DEVELOPMENT • AGES 8–12 WEEKS
From Their First Home to Their Forever Home.
Bringing home a new puppy is exciting, but those first few weeks are also an important time for learning, adjustment and development.
Jump Start is designed specifically for puppies 8–12 weeks of age, typically transitioning directly from their breeder or rescue into our 21-day early puppy development program.
During this formative period, our focus is on helping puppies build confidence, experience the world in positive and age-appropriate ways, and begin developing the foundations for life with their new families.
Jump Start may be a great fit if:
- You're welcoming a puppy from a breeder or rescue and want to begin their education right away.
- You want professional guidance during your puppy's earliest developmental stages.
- You value thoughtful socialization, confidence building and positive reinforcement.
- You'd like your puppy introduced to early manners, handling and healthy daily routines.
- You're committed to continuing your puppy's education once they come home.
A great beginning isn't about rushing your puppy through training. It's about giving them the experiences, guidance and support they need to thrive.

YOUR PUPPY'S HEALTH & WELL-BEING COME FIRST
Enrollment Requirements
Your puppy lives in our trainer's home—not a kennel—while learning the foundations for life with your family.
LITTLE LESSONS. LIFELONG FOUNDATIONS.
Big Things Start Small.
During their 21-day stay, your puppy will experience a thoughtfully designed combination of early training, positive socialization and everyday life skills.
Rather than expecting a young puppy to master advanced behaviors, we focus on building confidence, creating positive associations and introducing healthy habits that can grow with them.
Every experience is tailored to your puppy's age, personality and developmental readiness.
Early Manners & Communication
Introducing name recognition, attention, sit, recall foundations, polite greetings and other simple behaviors through short, positive training sessions.
Crate Comfort & Independence
Building positive associations with the crate, introducing restful routines and gently encouraging age-appropriate comfort with brief periods of separation.
Potty Training Foundations
Establishing consistent opportunities for successful elimination outdoors, recognizing early potty cues and developing routines families can continue at home.
Confidence & Socialization
Carefully introducing new sights, sounds, textures, people and age-appropriate experiences while respecting each puppy's comfort and health needs.
Handling & Grooming Preparation
Creating positive experiences with gentle body handling, paw and ear checks, brushing, nail-care preparation and other everyday care routines.
Leash Skills & Everyday Life
Introducing comfortable collar and harness wear, following a handler, loose-leash foundations, settling and navigating everyday household experiences.
A Foundation for the Future
At 8–12 weeks old, puppies are just beginning their learning journey. Jump Start introduces important skills and routines, but continued practice, patience and consistency at home are essential as your puppy grows.
Our goal is to send your puppy home with positive early experiences, emerging skills and a foundation your family can continue building upon.
THE FOUR LEGGERS DIFFERENCE
Not Just Training. A Thoughtful Beginning.
Your puppy deserves more than a checklist of commands. They deserve a safe, nurturing environment where learning happens naturally, confidence is encouraged and their individual needs are understood.
Jump Start combines professional training with the everyday experiences of living in a real home, helping young puppies build a foundation for life with their families.
KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING
Their Education Is Just Beginning.
As your puppy grows, Four Leggers offers additional opportunities to continue developing manners, confidence and important life skills. From Puppy Kindergarten to our Nursery School for Puppies and private training, we're here to support your family through every stage of puppyhood.

Your Jump Start Questions, Answered.
Welcoming a new puppy is exciting, and choosing the right start is an important decision. We've answered some of the most common questions about Jump Start to help you decide whether it's the right fit for your family.
What is Jump Start?
Jump Start is Four Leggers' 21-day, home-based puppy development program for puppies ages 8–12 weeks. Your puppy lives in Jenn's home while receiving individualized, positive reinforcement training and age-appropriate developmental experiences.
Where will my puppy stay during Jump Start?
Your puppy lives in Jenn Frankavitz's personal home throughout the 21-day program, rather than staying at a traditional boarding kennel. Training is incorporated into everyday household routines, helping puppies develop early skills in a real home environment.
How old does my puppy need to be?
Write content to answer to common questions your customers may have about your products, shipping policies..
Can my puppy come directly from the breeder or rescue?
Yes! Jump Start is specifically designed with this transition in mind. Many puppies begin the program directly after leaving their breeder or rescue, before joining their new families at home. We'll discuss arrival arrangements during the enrollment process.
What vaccinations and health testing are required?
Puppies must be current on age-appropriate distemper combination vaccinations and Bordetella vaccination, and have a documented negative fecal test before beginning Jump Start. Additional health and documentation requirements, including timing, will be reviewed during enrollment.
What will my puppy learn during the 21 days?
We introduce foundational manners, name recognition, attention, early recall, crate comfort, potty training routines, leash foundations, gentle handling and age-appropriate socialization. Training is adapted to each puppy's developmental readiness, temperament and comfort level.
Will my puppy be fully potty trained or crate trained when they come home?
At this young age, puppies are still developing physically and emotionally. Jump Start establishes positive routines and early skills, but complete potty training, reliable independence and finished obedience cannot be guaranteed. Consistent practice at home will remain important.
How much does Jump Start cost?
Jump Start is $3,600 for the 21-day program. The program provides a home-based early development experience with professional training and individualized attention. Please contact us for current availability and to confirm enrollment arrangements and what's included.
What happens when my puppy comes home?
Your puppy's learning continues after Jump Start. We encourage families to maintain consistent routines, reinforce early skills and continue positive socialization and age-appropriate training. We can also discuss additional Four Leggers programs to support your puppy as they grow.
How do I reserve a spot?
Begin by submitting a Jump Start inquiry. We'll discuss your puppy's age, anticipated arrival date, breeder or rescue transition, health requirements and program availability before confirming whether Jump Start is an appropriate fit.
